I discovered yoga in California, and practiced on and off for a few years, until I started a regular practice when I began teaching. A little girl, who used to be in my class, inspired me to learn more about because she spontaneously did yoga poses (this child did not have any yoga experience). This little girl did forward bends at the beginning of the year and heart openers later in the year, the same time she was developing a friendship with another child. I wanted to learn more about the mind and body connection. I completed my 200 teacher training with Three Yoga Sisters in New York City 2011, and became certified to teach children’s yoga with Little Flower Yoga in 2013.
I am hoping to discover a little bit of yoga in my daily life, may be films, books, music, preschoolers, and of course, practicing.
